About the shipyard
Bröder Martinssons shipyards at Svineviken on northwest Orust have a naturally protected harbor, easily accessible with good opportunities for mooring. Founded in 1946 by the brothers Karl, Gustav, Torsten and Eric Martinsson. Initially, they started out working in the construction of wooden boats, both sailing and motor boats.
When the plastic had it’s breakthrough in the 1970s, the yard changed orientation. Now woodworking was carried out such as repairs and molds for the plastic boat industry and the extension of the lego production to the larger yards. In addition, efforts were made on mast work and engine repairs, which is still an important part of the yard’s operations today. During this period, winter storage of boats became increasingly important.
Today, the company has seven full-time employees who perform full service of both boats and engines as well as installation of equipment and instruments.

We are an authorized dealer and service technichans for Volvo Penta. At our shipyard we stock spare parts for a large number of engines, both new and old.
